Using the Microsoft GPO Deployment Tool
Using GPO, install (push) the TSP package to larger sites. GPO is Microsoft Corporation’s Group
Policy Object (GPO) deployment tool. It can be used to remotely install (push) software in Windows
Server 2008. For more information about GPO, see the Microsoft support website, http://
support.microsoft.com, and search for GPO.
Using the ShoreTel Professional Services Application
Use the Professional Services Application upgrade link, http://www.shoretel.com/services/applications.
The link points to the Headquarters server for the correct location of the TSP package to install.
Installing Third-party TSP package in a Terminal Licensing
Server Environment (Citrix and Windows)
1. Perform a fresh install or upgrade of Communicator for Windows.
2. Install the third Party TSP package.
3. On the Windows desktop, open the Control Panel.
4. Click Phone and Modem.
5. Click My Location.
6. Click Advanced.
7. Select ShoreTel Remote TAPI Service Provider.
8. Click Remove.
9. Click OK.
10. On the Windows desktop, open a command prompt window.
11. Navigate to the following location:
\Program Files\ShoreTel\ShoreTel 3rd Party
12. Run the following command:
TSPinstall -i StServer HQ servername (IP address)
13. On the Windows desktop, open the Control Panel.
14. Click Phone and Modem > My Location > Advanced.
Verify that the ShoreTel Remote TAPI Service Provider is listed.
ShoreTel Communicator can now use Third Party applications.
