Scripts\hq_shoretel-stop-svcs.bat
7. Confirm that all ShoreTel services have stopped.
8. Reboot.
9. Copy the Shoreline Data folder (excluding the \Database folder) to a safe location and label the
version and build in the folder in which it is located. It is recommended that you copy off the server
to a safe location.
10. Restart the ShoreTel services by running the following command:
C:\Program Files\Shoreline Communications\ShoreWare Server\Scripts\
hq_shoretel-start-svcs.bat
11. Ensure that everything is up and running properly.
12. Reboot.
13. Pull off to a safe location the ShoreTel Director Installation files and any other files that you may
want to keep.
14. After everything is off the server, reboot and boot from the Windows 2012 64-bit CD-ROM.
15. Format the hard drive and install Windows 2012 64-bit.
Note
The \Database folder is excluded from the backup because, in a few rare cases, Windows 2008 is
unable to read database files after they are moved from Windows 2003. To avoid this scenario,
ShoreTel recommends that you backup and restore the databases.
