14. Click the Conditions tab and fill in the form according to your business requirements.
15. Click the Settings tab and fill in the form according to your business requirements.
16. Click OK to save the task.
Option 3. VMWare
If you are running VMware, you can run a Snapshot during a low-traffic period. For more information,
refer to the VMware documentation that accompanied you product.
Upgrading the Headquarters Server Software
If you are upgrading the server software, follow the instructions in Installing the Headquarters Server
Software on page 211. The Setup script will automatically determine that an upgrade is in process, and
you will be presented with a subset of the installation wizard screens. (There is no need to change the
destination folders of the ShoreTel files.)
Note
During non-business hours, be sure to right-click the script task and run it to ensure that it works.
WARNING!
According to VMware documentation, you should not take Snapshots during business hours,
because, over time, taking Snapshots can degrade the voice mail quality of your phone system. As a
safer alternative, you can take a Snapshot during a low-traffic period and reboot the system every 1-3
months.
