Operating System Requirements for All Servers
This section lists the operating systems that ShoreTel supports on the Headquarters server and
distributed voice servers. If you are upgrading a system, refer to the Release Notes for the current
ShoreTel version for special instructions that might apply.
ShoreTel supports the following operating systems in enterprise environments:
Windows Server 2008 32-bit, SP2 (Standard, Enterprise). Prioritization of traffic type is not
supported on this platform.
Windows Server 2008 R2, SP1, 64-bit, (Standard, Enterprise). Prioritization of traffic type is not
supported on this platform.
Windows Server 2012, 64-bit (Standard, Datacenter). Prioritization of traffic type is not supported
on this platform.
Requirements for the ShoreTel SBE and SBE 100
Systems
The section describes the requirements for the ShoreTel Small Business Edition (SBE) and SBE 100
systems. It begins with a summary of the major differences between the features supported on the
SBE, the SBE 100, and the EE (ShoreTel Enterprise Edition).
Note
For very large system deployments (10K to 20K), the number of ShoreTel Communicator for Windows
users is 500. The number of ShoreTel Communicator for Web and mobile users in 1000.
