Network LEDs
The IPBX-12 switch’s network LEDs indicate the speed at which the switch is
communicating with the network and whether there is network activity. The network
LED descriptions are as follows:
Telephone LED
(right)
When on, the port is configured as a telephone port.
When flashing slowly, the telephone is off hook.
When flashing with ring cadence, the telephone is ringing.
When flashing fast, the telephone is in use (call in
progress).
10M When lit, this LED indicates that the switch is connected to a 10BaseT
network.
100M When lit, this LED indicates that the switch is connected to a 100BaseT
network.
Traffic This LED indicates total network activity, as follows:
When flashing, network activity is detected.
When on (not flashing), heavy network activity is detected.
When off, no network activity is detected.
NOTE If you have three switches that are connected to the same hub, and
one switch’s Traffic LED shows activity, the other switches will
indicate the same.
