The Filter Hood of a Dust Collector cleans
the air that’s returned to the environment once the
dust is removed. As it does this, a “cake” of dust
forms on the inside of the Hood. The thicker the cake,
the smaller the dust particles it will hold captive inside.
Our larger 24˝ and 42˝ Hoods offer nearly
four times
the surface area of our original equipment Hood, help-
ing them maintain optimum airflow, even though par-
ticle size is reducing. Made of a special polyester felt,
they’re fully washable, though it’s seldom necessary.
