The product supports the software update. The software update is a
function to update software of the product.
The methods for updating software of the product available by the
software update are described as follows. Restarting the product
before and after software update is required regardless of the
updating method. When the automatic updating style is set, the
product will automatically restart.

update
Check whether software update is necessary or not by
connecting the product to the network.
• When it is necessary, you can choose whether to
update immediately or to update later (update
reservation).
Automatic
update
Update software when receiving a software update
notification from au.
• You can also choose whether to automatically update
(automatic updating style) or to display the
confirmation screen (user approval style) after
receiving the notification.
Update Check whether software update is necessary or
not (manual update). The confirmation starts
when you tap “Execute”. When it is necessary,
you can choose whether to update immediately
or to update later (update reservation).
• If you want to update immediately, tap
“Execute” to start the download of data needed
for software update. When the download has
completed and the product has restarted,
software will be updated.
• If you want to update later (update reservation),
tap “Reserve” to start the download of data
needed for software update. When the
download has completed, the screen for setting
the date and time to start software update will
be displayed. If you set the date and time
[tap [Reserve], the product will automatically
restart at the set time of the day for the update
and software will be updated.
Auto Setup Set whether to automatically start the download of
data needed for software update and to update
software when receiving a notification for the
update in automatic updating style.

Time
Change the set date and time to start software
update.
• If you tap “Cancel”, you can cancel the update
reservation.
Reminder Set whether to display a notification for the
update repeatedly.

◎ If you enable “Automatic date & time” in “Date & time” or change the
settings of “Set date” and “Set time” after setting the date and time to start
software update, the update reservation will be canceled.
