Getting Ready
Before removing the battery pack, turn the product off and remove the
battery cover.
A Remove the battery pack.
Remove the battery pack by pulling up the PULL tab in the direction of
the arrow.
The micro au IC-Card records your personal information such as
phone numbers.
The product is compatible with micro au IC-Card only. You cannot use
the product by inserting the au IC-Card for au phones and
smartphones instead.
When the micro au IC-Card is not inserted
If the micro au IC-Card is not inserted, the following operations are
unavailable.
Making
*
/Receiving a call
Sending/Receiving mails
Confirming your own phone number/own mail address
Setting UIM card lock
* Making an emergency call to 110 (Police), 119 (Fire and Ambulance) and 118 (Regional Coast
Guard) and making a call to 157 (Customer Service Center) are also unavailable.
Besides the above, functions which requires your phone number etc.
may not be available.
Also, you cannot use the product with a card other than a micro au
IC-Card inserted.
Removing the Battery Pack

When removing the battery pack, pull the PULL tab up.
Or use the concave portion to remove it. Doing otherwise may result in
damage to the main unit or the battery connections.

Note the following points, which may cause malfunction or damage, when
handling the micro au IC-Card.
Do not touch the IC (metal) part of the micro au IC-Card or the IC card
terminal inside the product.
Insert the micro au IC-Card in the correct direction.
Do not use force to attach or remove the micro au IC-Card.
Do not lose the micro au IC-Card after it has been removed.
Make sure to unplug the microUSB plug of the common AC adapter 03
(sold separately) etc. from the product when attaching or removing the
micro au IC-Card.
