RF EXPOSURE INFORMATION (FCC SAR)
DEVICEMEETSTHEGOVERNMENT’SREQUIREMENTS

Thisdeviceisdesignedandmanufacturednotto
exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio
frequency(RF)energysetbytheFederalcommu-
nicationsCommissionoftheU.S.Government.
Theexposurestandardforwirelessmobiledevices
employs and unit of measurement known as the
SpecicAbsorptionRate,orSAR.TheSARlimitset
btheFCCis1.6W/kg.TestsforSARareconducted
using standard operating positions accepted by
theFCCwiththedevicetransmittingatitshighest
certiedpowerlevelinalltestedfrequencybands.
AlthoughtheSARisdeterminedatthehighest
certiedpowerlevel,theactualSARlevelofthe
device while operating can be well below the
maximumvalue.Thisisbecausethedeviceisde-
signed to operate at multiple power levels so as to
useonlytheposerrequiredtoreachthenetwork.
Ingeneral,thecloseryouaretoawirelessbase
stationantenna,thelowerthepoweroutput.
ThehighestSARvalueforthedeviceasarere-
portedtotheFCCwhentestedforusewhenworn
onthebody,asdescribedintheuserguide,is0.314
W/kg.(Body-wornmeasurementsdifferamong
devicemodels,dependinguponavailableacces-
soriesandFCCrequirements.)
WiletheremaybedifferencesbetweentheSAR
levelsofvariousdevicesandatvariouspositions,
theyallmeetthegovernmentrequirement.
