TRAINING GUIDE
Choosing the Appropriate Length of Contact Points
This is a critical step and is often overlooked. If you don’t have the
proper length contact points, the collar won’t work correctly. For
smaller dogs, the short contact points should be used. For larger
dogs, or dogs with a heavier hair coat, you should use the longer
contact points. You may trim the hair if the coat is too thick but
never shave completely as this may lead to a rash or infection.
Fitting Collar on the Dog
Make sure your dog is standing then place the collar strap in the
middle of the dog’s neck. The receiver should be on the underside
of his/her neck, although on some dog’s necks the receiver will
naturally seek a slightly off-center position. The light upwards
towards the dogs nose.
