11.15 System
11.15.1 Language & input
Use the Language & input settings to select the language for the
text on your phone and for configuring the onscreen keyboard.
You can also configure voice input settings and the pointer speed.
Language
Touch to select the language and the region you want.
Virtual keyboard
• Gboard
Languages
Touch to set input language and method.
Preferences
Touch to select your typing preference, such as One-handed
mode, Customised input styles, Long-press for symbols,
Keyboard height etc.
Theme
Touch to select the keyboard theme and the customised input
styles you preferred.
Text correction
Touch to show various options that aim to facilitate the text
organisation, such as Auto correction which could correct
mistyped words automatically, Show correction suggestions
which could display suggested words while typing, etc.
Glide typing
Touch to set up your Glide typing, such as Enable Glide typing,
Show gesture trail, etc.
Vocie typing
Touch to set up your Voice typing, such as languages, offline
speech recognition, block offensive words, etc.
Dictionary
Touch to view Personal dictionary settings.
Search
Touch to access to search settings.
Advanced
Touch to view more advanced settings for Google keyboard,
such as Emoji for physical keyboard, Show app icon, Share usage
statistics, Share snippets etc.

Touch to manage keyboards.
Physical keyboard
Touch for more keyboard assistance.
Spell checker
Touch to access to spell checker setting.
Autofill service
Touch to set auto-fill service.
Personal dictionary
Touch to open a list of the words you’ve added to the dictionary.
Touch a word to edit or delete it. Touch the add button (+) to
add a word.
Pointer speed
Touch to open a dialogue where you can change the pointer
speed, touch OK to confirm.
Text-to-speech output
Touch to configure settings for Google voice typing.
• Preferred engine
Touch to choose a preferred text-to-speech engine, touch the
Settings icon to show more choices for each engine.
• Language
Touch to select languages for text-to speech.
