11 Settings
To access settings menu, you can choose either of the following
two ways:
1 Touch the Application tab from the Home screen, and touch
Settings.
2 Drag down twice from the Notification panel and touch the
Settings to access Settings.
11.1 Network & Internet
11.1.1 Wi-Fi
Using Wi-Fi you can now surf the Internet without using your SIM
card whenever you are in range of a wireless network. The only
thing you have to do is to enter the Wi-Fi screen and configure
an access point to connect your phone to the wireless network.
For detailed instructions on using Wi-Fi, please refer to "6.1.2
Wi-Fi".
11.1.2 Mobile networks
• Mobile data
Touch the switch to enable data access using mobile network.
• Roaming
Touch the switch to connect to data services when roaming.
• App data usage
Touch to view mobile data used by each app.
• Preferred network type
Touch to select the preferred network type.
• Automatically select network
Touch the switch to activate automatic network selection.
• Access point names
You can select your preferred network with this menu.
11.1.3 Data usage
Data usage allows you to view the data you've used.
• Data saver
Data saver helps to reduce data usage by preventing some apps
from sending or receiving data in the background. Touch the
switch to turn on/off data saver function.
• Mobile data
To enable/disable mobile data, touch the switch next to
Mobile data.
• App data usage
Touch to view mobile data used by each app.
• Data warning & limit
Touch the switch next to Set data limit to turn on data limit
function. Touch Data limit to set the maximum amount of
mobile data that you want to use. Your mobile data connection
will be disabled when the specified limit is reached. You can also
choose App data usage cycle to set reset date of each month.
Touch the switch next to Set data warning to turn on data
warning function. Touch Data warning to set specific data
volume. When reached, a warning message will be received.
• Wi-Fi data usage
Touch to view Wi-Fi data usage of each applications.
Data usage is measured by your phone, and your carrier
may count differently.
11.1.4 Hotspot & tethering
This function allows you to share your phone’s mobile data
connection via USB or as a portable Wi-Fi access point (Please
refer to "6.6 Sharing your phone’s mobile data connection".
