3 Calling
Make a call
From idle screen
1. Enter the phone number.
2. Press ( to dial the number.
3. Press ) to hang up.
For international calls, long press 0 to
enter the "+" sign for the international prefix.
Using the phonebook (See
"Contacts" on page 30)
1. Go to Contacts > View contacts to open the
contacts list.
To search for a contact, enter the contact
name (up to 5 characters), or select a
contact from the list.
2. Press ( to dial the selected number.
For IP calls (China only), select
L Options Call > IP dial.
You can preset your IP service number
under Calls > Call options > IP number.
3. Press ) to hang up.
Speed dial
On the idle screen, you can call a preset speed-
dial number by long pressing a numeric key.
Set your speed-dial number before dialing it.
To assign a speed-dial key to a contact:
1. Go to Settings > General > Speed dial.
2. Select one of the locations (2 to 9).
Press ,.
3. In Contact, assign to the location a contact
from your phonebook.
In Please input number, assign to the location
a preset phone number.
Answer and end a call
When a call rings, the number of the caller may
be displayed, depending on whether or not the
