Getting Started 11
AAA battery will automatically stop charging the
main battery.
No audible alert or message is given by your
phone if the backpower transfer happens at the
time that your phone is turned off.
Use the AAA battery in time of drained
main battery
If the main battery is drained and your phone
cannot be powered on, you can insert a full capacity
AAA battery into the smartcavity
TM
. It will
automatically charge the main battery and your
phone can be powered on again. The time needed
for charging depends on the remaining power of
the main battery. The lower the voltage, the longer
is takes to wake up the main battery.
Recharging the AAA battery
If you have put a rechargeable AAA battery in the
smartcavity
TM
, you can charge both the main
battery and AAA battery using the AC power
charger(see "Using the AC power" on page 9). If
any of the main battery or rechargeable AAA
battery is full, only the other one will be charged.
Your phone accepts Alkaline, Lithium and
rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH)
batteries.
We recommend that you use
Energizer batteries.
Remove the non-rechargeable AAA battery
from your charger before you plug the charger
into the AC power socket.
Remove the rechargeable AAA battery from
your charger after it is fully charged.
Inserting a Micro-SD card
You can expand the memory of your phone by
adding a Micro-SD card.
1. Gently slip the card into the micro SD card
slot, with the gold contacts facing
downwards.
