card inserted, your mobile phone will prompt you to
install a SIM card. Upon completion, your mobile
phone checks the SIM card’s availability automatically.
Then, the display shows the following instructions in
order:
Enter PIN1 ——If you have set
the SIM card password.
Enter phone password ——If you have set
password for your phone.
Searching for network ——Your phone will
search until an appropriate network is found.
2.5.3 Unlock the SIM card
In order to prevent against unauthorized use, the
SIM card uses PIN1 (personal identification number)
code to protect your security. When this feature is
checked, you must enter your PIN1 code each time
that your mobile phone is powered on in order to
unlock the SIM card, after which then you can make or
answer calls. You may clear up the SIM card protection
(see “Security setup”). In this case, your SIM card
cannot be protected against unauthorized use.
n Press the Hang up key to power on your mobile
phone;
n Enter your PIN1 code. Clear up the wrong entry
with the right soft key, and press OK to confirm.
