Placeyourrouteroraccesspointinthecenterposition
Verifythatyourrouter/accesspointonthecenterpositionofthenetwork,
inordertogetthebestresults.Trytoplacetherouter/accesspointtothe
highestpointintheroom,sothatthesignalcanbedistributedtoyour
room.Ifyourhomeisatwo‐storybuilding,youneedtoinstalltherepeater
signalexpandingcoverage.
Eliminateinterference
Householdappliances,suchascordlessphones,microwaves,and
televisionsasfaraspossiblefromtherouter/accesspoint.Thiswill
greatlyreducetheelectricalinterferencecausedbytheworkofthesame
frequency.
Security
Preventyournextdoorneighborsorintrudersconnecttoyourwireless
network.Opentherouter'sWPAorWEPsecurityfeaturestoprotectyour
wirelessnetwork.Pleaserefertotheproductmanualtosettheproperties
detailedinformation.


WhatisWEP?
WEPmeansWiredEquivalentPrivacy.ItisbasedontheIEEE802.11standard,
usingtheRC4encryptionalgorithm.WEPfordataencryptiononyourwireless
networktoprovidesecurity,sothatitcanprotectthesecurityoftransmission
fromonewirelessdevicetoanother.
ToaccesstheWEPnetwork,youmustknowthekey.Thekeyisthestringyou
create.UsingWEP,youmustspecifythelevelofencryption.Thetypeof
encryptiondeterminesthekeylength.128‐bitencryptionkeyislongerthan
