•Donotholdthismobiledevicewhiledriving.
•ThisdeviceemitsRadioFrequency(RF)whichcanaffectcertainelectronicsystemsinyourcar,suchas
theaudiostereosystemorsecurityequipment.
•Anairbaginflateswithgreatforce.Donotstorethemobiledeviceoranyofitsaccessoriesinthearea
abovethebagorinitsdeploymentarea.
RADIOFREQUENCYThismobiledeviceconformstoguidelinesforexposuretoradio
frequency.Yourmobiledeviceisaradiotransmitterandreceiver.Itwasdesignedtomeet
thelimitsrecommendedbyinternationalguidelinesontheexposuretoradiowaves.
Theseguidelinesweredevelopedbyanindependentscientificorganization,theICNIRP,
andincludesafetymarginsdesignedtoassuretheprotectionofall,regardlessoftheirage
orstateofhealth.
Therecommendationsonexposureguidelinesformobiledevicesemployaunitofmeasure,knownas
theSpecificAbsorptionRateorSAR.TheSARlimit,asdefinedintheICNIRPrecommendationsis2.0
watts/kilogram(W/Kg)averagedover10gramsofcellulartissue.
InteststodeterminetheSARthedeviceisusedinpositionsofstandardoperationatitshighestcertified
powerlevelinalltestedfrequencybands.TheactualSARlevelofadeviceinusecanbelessthan
themaximumvaluebecausethedeviceisdesignedtoonlyusethepowernecessarytoreachthe
network.Thisvaluechangesdependingonanumberoffactorssuchasthedistancefromanetwork
basestation.
Radiofrequencyemissionsfromelectronicequipmentcaninterferewithotherelectronicequipmentand
cancausemalfunctions.Althoughthismobiledevicehasbeendesigned,testedandmanufacturedin
accordancewiththeEUregulationsonradiofrequencyemissions,themobiledevice’swireless
transmitterandelectricalcircuitscancauseinterferencewithotherelectronicequipment.We
recommendthatyoutakethefollowingprecautions:
AIRPLANE:Wirelessequipmentcancauseinterferenceinaircraft.
•Turnoffthemobiledevicebeforeboardingaplane
•Donotuseontherunwaywithoutthecrew’spermission.
VEHICLES:Telephoneradiofrequencyemissionscanaffectamotorvehicle’selectronicsystems.With
regardstoyourvehicle,checkwiththemanufacturerordealer.
MedicalImplants:Toavoidanyinterferencewiththemedicaldevice,manufacturersofmedicaldevices
recommendaminimumdistanceof6inchesbetweenwirelessequipmentandamedicalimplantsuchas
apacemakerordefibrillator.Thefollowingisrecommendedtopeoplewhohavesuchdevices:
•Alwayskeepthewirelessdeviceatadistanceofover6inchesfromthemedicaldevice.
•Donotcarrythewirelessdeviceinabreastpocket.
•Holdthewirelessdeviceattheearoppositethemedicaldevice
•Turnoffthewirelessdeviceifthereisanysuspicionofinterferenceoccurring.
•Followtheinstructionsprovidedbythemanufacturerofthemedicalimplant.
Ifyouarefittedwithamedicalimplantandhaveanyquestionsregardingtheuseofwirelessequipment,
consultyourdoctor.
