Shaw200LuxuryVinylTile&PlankAdhesiveisanadvancedresinbased,cross‐

strength.Thissolvent‐free,non‐flammable,easytrowelingproductprovides
excellentinstallationforluxuryvinyltileand
plankoverbothporousandnon‐
poroussurfaces.RecommendedtrowelsizesforusewithShaw200adhesive
are:

theabsenceofexcessmoisture,aswellassuspendedapprovedwoodfloors.
SHAW4100isnon‐flammable,water(90%RH)andalkali(10pH)resistantand
freeze‐thawstable.
SHAW4100hasexcellentresistancetoplasticizermigration

6.INSTALLATIONOFVERSAFIT™
a. Materialshouldalwaysbevisuallyinspectedpriortoinstallation.Any
materialinstalledwithvisualdefectswillnotbeconsideredalegitimate
claim
asitpertainstolaborcost.
b. WheninstallingVersaFitplankproductsyoushouldmixplanksfrom
severalcartonstoblendminorshadevariations.
c. Flooringandsubfloorroomtemperatureshouldbebetween65and85
Fahrenheit.Maintainpropertemperaturefor48hoursbeforeandafter
installation.Afterthat
maintainaminimum55‐degreetemperature.The
building’sheatingandair‐conditioningsystemshouldbeturnedonatleast
oneweekbeforeinstallation.Failuretofollowtheseguidelinesmayresult
inaninstallationfailure.(i.e.flooringmayexpandorcontractresultingin
gapping)
d. VersaFitplankshouldbeinstalledtight
tothewall.Ifthiscannotbe
accomplishedyouwillneedtosecuretheplankstotheflooraroundthe
edgesusingSHAW200tpsadhesive,ShawS150sprayadhesiveora
suitableDS/PS(doublesided/pressuresensitive)tape.

thefullspreadmethod.
LAYOUTOFTHEROOM
Beforelayingoutthefloor,checkthewallyou arestarting fromandmak esureit
issquaretotheoppositewall(planksshouldrunlengthwiseagainstthelongest
wall,andifpossible,paralleltoincomingsunlight).Simplymeasuretheroom
fromoppositeendsofthewalltothefarwall.Ifthemeasurementsaredifferent
youcanmakeadjustmentsonthefirstrowofVersaFitbyscribingtheplankon
theoveredge.Aswithallplankproductsitisbesttostartalongthelongest
exteriorwall.
The
widthofthefirstrowofplanksshouldbeapproximatelythesamewidthas
thelastrow.Thismayrequirecuttingthefirstrowplanktoashorterwidth.
Measureacrosstheroomininchesanddividebythewidthofaplanktosee
howmanyfullwidthplankswill
beusedandwhatsizewidthwillbeneededfor
thelastrow.Thelastrowshouldneverbelessthan2"inwidth.
Laythefirstrowofplanksouttodetermineifyouneedtoadjustthelengthof
thefirstplanktoavoidasmallpieceof
lessthan6”ontheoppositewallfrom
whereyoustarted.Wheninstallingtheplank,itisrequiredtostaggertherows
sothattheendjointseamsareaminimum6”apartandtheseamsarenotina
straightuniformline.Werecommendthestaggeredrandommethod.
Installation
shouldstartinacornerandproceedfromthatcornerworkingacross
theroommakingsuretothatyourendpiecesagainstthewallareaminimumof
6inchesandstaggeringtheendjointsaminimumof6inches.Theplanksmust
beinstalledtightagainstthewallsthroughoutthe
entireinstallation(ifthis
cannotbeachieveduseanapprovedlvtadhesiveorasuitableDS/PStape.).
FITTINGTHEBORDER:
Measurethedistancefromthelastplankintherowtothewall.Marktheplank
andcutitagainstthemark.Laytheplankinplace,makingsurethat
thecutedge
isagainstthewall.
FittingAroundIrregularObjects:Makeapatternoutofheavypapertofit
aroundpipesandotherirregularities.Placethepatternontheplank,trace
cuttingalongthetracelines
7.MAINTENANCETopreventindentationwerecommendthatyouput
protectivenon‐staining
padsonthelegsofheavyfurniture(pi a nos,chairs,
tablesetc.).Alsoifyouhavefurniturewithrollingcasters,thecastersneedto
beaminimumof2”diameter.
