PHU-120R
120GB Hard Disk Recorder for XDCAM EX Camcorders
Designed for use with XDCAM EX camcorders, the 120GB drive can be formatted
in either one 120GB partition or two 60GB partitions, letting you record up to 400
continuous minutes in HQ (35Mbps) mode or 520 minutes in SP (25Mbps) mode.
The ability to record uninterrupted is especially useful for event coverage, sports
and documentary-style shooting. The PHU-120R doesn't have--or need--trans-
port controls, record time displays or multiple inputs and outputs. The unit simply
plugs into a media slot on the host camcorder or deck, where it is recognized as
if it were just another memory card. All read, write and file access operations are controlled by the host
recorder. The disk drive itself is suspended inside the PHU-120R chassis by four specially engineered
dampers that help protect against shock.

MEAD-MS01 Memory Stick Adapter
The same shape as SxS memory cards, the MEAD-MS01 allows you to use Memory
Stick media with XDCAM EX camcorders. Since there aren’t any protrusions the
media cover can be closed during shooting. Memory Stick media recorded with
MEAD-MS01 works on a PC without any need for drivers. Folders and files of
XDCAM EX are shown in the NLE operation window or in Clip Browser in the
same way as with SxS media.

MEAD-SD01 Media Adapter
The MEAD-SD01 media adapter allows the use of SDHC memory cards in
XDCAM EX equipment such as the PMW-EX1/EX1R, PMW-EX3, PMW-350
and PMW-EX30. The adapter is recommended for emergency use only.

PMW-EX30
XDCAM EX Recording Deck
The PMW-EX30 is a versatile and compact
recording deck that can be used for many
different applications. It allows simple viewing
of recorded materials with a monitor, dubbing
to other format/media such as HDV, XDCAM HD
and HDCAM, and feeding to nonlinear editing
systems. In addition, the PMW-EX30 can be
used as an affordable full HD recorder for event
recordings — it can record HD signal outputs from a switcher.
The PMW-EX30 is equipped with a wide array of interfaces including HD-SDI input and output, HDMI
output, HD analog component, composite outputs and more. Equipped with two SxS PRO memory card
slots, the PMW-EX30 can record up to 140 minutes of HD footage using two 16GB SxS PRO memory
cards. The recording time can be further extended up to approximately 260 minutes when an optional
PHU-60K Professional Hard Disk Unit is attached to the deck.
• Highly compact design - can be placed either horizontally or vertically
• MPEG HD recording /playback at 35 and 25 Mb/s
• Equipped with two SxS PRO memory card slots
• Built-in 3.5” LCD monitor
Adjustable audio input volume (CH1 and CH2)

PMW-EX1R 3CMOS XDCAM EX Pro HD Camcorder
A successor to the award-winning PMW-EX1, the PMW-EX1R
adds DVCAM recording, cache recording, picture inversion
and a host of additional refinements such as HDMI output,
a higher-resolution viewfinder and one-push auto iris.
It also features a range of ergonomic enhancements,
including an improved hand grip for better balance,
smooth handle zoom start/stop, one-click S&Q (Slow
& Quick) mode and easy-to-access switches.
Incorporating all the benefits of the XDCAM HD optical
disc-based recording system – tapeless workflow, selec-
table bit rates and outstanding picture performance, the PMW-
EX1R redefines the standard for a compact professional camcorder.
It features three 1/2” Exmor CMOS
sensors each with an effective pixel count of
1
920 x
1
080, to produce
images in full HD resolution.
Combining the moderate bit rate of MPEG-2 Long GOP compression with the SxS PRO memory card,
the PMW-EX1R offers cost-effective long form recording coupled
with non-linear capabilities such as
random access and high speed file-based operation. The PMW-EX1R
supports multiple frame rate
recording such as 59.94i, 50i, and native 23.98P and 25P as well as being 1080i/720P switchable.
Equipped with two SxS PRO memory card slots, it can record over four hours of HD footage using two
32GB SxS PRO memory cards.

PMW-EX3
3CMOS XDCAM EX Pro HD Camcorder with Interchangeable Lenses
Utilizing the same electronics as the PMW-EX1R, the EX3 features an
interchangeable 1/2” lens mount, removable viewfinder,
and an easy-to-hold body that includes a
retractable shoulder pad. It incorporates
three 1/2” type “Exmor” Full HD CMOS
Sensors, each with 1920 x 1080 effective
pixels to deliver stunning-quality HD images
in 1080P, 720P and 1080i HD resolutions.
Frame rate is selectable from interlace and
progressive, such as 59.94i, 50i, 59.94P,
50P, 29.97P, 25P and native 23.98P recording.
For creative shooting, it features “Slow & Quick
Motion”(over- and-under-cranking), selectable gamma
curves, slow-shutter, interval recording and Picture Profile feature. Filmmakers and wildlife/event
videographers requiring variable lenses can take advantage of the outside dials for peaking, brightness
and contrast, a push-button frame rate dial, and zebra switches for easier viewfinder calibration.
Additionally, the PMW-EX3 features genlock and timecode in/out for multi-camera operation. For studio
configuration, the RM-B150 or RM-B750 remote controllers adjust camera parameters such as gain,
iris, white balance, pedestal, and gamma via the the 8-pin remote connector on the camcorder.

PMW-320 •PMW-350
XDCAM EX Shoulder-Mount Camcorders
Featuring three 1/2” (PMW-320) or three
2/3” (PMW-350) Full-HD CMOS sensors,
multiple-format recording, 4-channel
audio and solid state SxS workflow, these
camcorders set the standard for affordable,
high-end videography. They provide an
excellent sensitivity (F12 for the PMW-350
and F10 for the PMW-320), remarkable S/N
ratio (59dB for the PMW-350 and 54dB for the
PMW-320) and high resolution of 1000 TV lines.
Whether in HQ 35Mbs HD setting or optional 25Mbs DVCAM recording mode, images are captured
quietly and efficiently to SxS PRO or lower-cost SxS-1 memory cards — storing over 4
1
2 hours of
MPEG-2 HD video on two 32GB cards. Advanced features include scene file settings, adjustable
gamma, and Matrix settings that can be stored on memory cards. They are also studio-configurable,
with timecode in/out, genlock in, HD/SD SDI and HDMI out.
Compact and well-balanced, they weigh just over 7 lbs., providing a high level of mobility and comfort
in many shooting situations. In addition, a low center of gravity, ensures outstanding stability on the
shoulder. Miserly users of power, means they can run on a single 90WH battery for up to 5 hours.

HVR-MRC1 CompactFlash Recording Unit
The HVR-MRC attaches directly to XDCAM EX camcorders and records up to
144 minutes (on a 32GB card) of HDV ready-to-edit footage. The card records
the same .M2T files that are created when capturing HDV footage from tape
and provides seamless integration with virtually all non-linear editing systems.
Footage can be recorded to both tape and CompactFlash simultaneously,
instantly archiving footage while still gaining the workflow efficiency of
tape-based media.
