HXR-NX5U NXCAM AVCHD Camcorder
The HXR-NX5U incorporates AVCHD technology, three Sony Exmor CMOS
sensors with ClearVid array, and state-of-the-art 20x G Lens, to deliver full
high-definition resolution and low light sensitivity with low noise. The
camcorder will record AVCHD up to 24Mbps, delivering 1920 x 1080 HD
images with both interlace and progressive modes along with native 1080/24p,
720/60p and MPEG-2 SD recording. It includes both HD-SDI and HDMI outputs,
as well as two-channel linear PCM audio capabilities. It features SMPTE Timecode
I/O, built-in GPS function, and an upgrade option for 60i/50i switchable. Utilizing
the revolutionary AVCHD format, the HXR-NX5U offers long recording time with dual
memory slots - on affordable memory cards. In addition to facilitating a totally IT-based
workflow, simultaneous hybrid recording is available in HD/SD formats, using the optional HXR-FMU128 flash memory unit.
HXR-FMU128 128GB Fash Memory Unit
Designed exclusively for the HXR-NX5U, the
optional HXR-FMU128 is a 128GB flash
memory unit that enables hybrid recording
of video footage. Other capabilities include
simultaneous recording of HD and HD video
footage, and even the combination of HD
and SD, realizing an instant backup in
thedesired format. The 128GB storage ca-
pacity provides continuous recording for up
to 11 hours at the highest bit-rate—making
it the ideal option for recording music festivals, seminars, and wed-
dings, and for making documentaries, all of which require extended
recording times.
