Tile time code shows tile hour, minute and
second of recording, and the frame number
(1 frame = approx. 1/30 sec.). This is automati-
cally recorded along with the subject when you
are recording on the tape. You can display the
time code on the screen as an accurate
counter in both VCR and CAMERA modes.

• The example screens shown are for VCR mode.
1 During playback or camera recording,
press the MENU button until the menu
screen appears.
2 Press _! or f\ on the operation button
to select ETC,then press the SET button.
3 Press V or /,, to select"TIME CODE",
then press the SET button.
Press the MENU button to turn off the
menu screen.
• The time code appears when the on-
screen indicators are turned on.

Select "DISR OFF" in step 4 above.
Note:
• When the tape reaches an unrecorded section,
the time code returns to zero (TCO:O0:O0).Once
recorded, the time code cannot be changed.
Displaying the time code on a
TV during playback
1 In VCR mode, press the MENU button
until the menu screen appears.

to select ETC,then press the SET button.
Press V or Z_,to select "TC OUT", then
press the SET button.

Press _y or _ to select "DISR ON", then
press the SET button.
