Looking Up the Indices Contained
on a Card
You can use this feature to find out whether
indices for the tape that you want to play back
are recorded on a card.
3 Touch [SET] to display the INDEX
SEARCH screen.
• The first indices for each tape are
displayed.
5 Touch the desired index to select, and
then touch the index again to set.
• To set the index enclosed by the
selection frame, you only need to touch
the index once.
• The indices for the selected tape are
displayed.
1 In TAPE-VCR mode, display the menu
screen (see page 31).
2 Touch [K] or [L] to select “R”, and
then touch [SET]. Touch [K] or [L] to
select “INDEX SRCH”, and then touch
[SET].

• You can delete the desired index by
performing steps 3 and 4 of “To delete
indices” on page 75.
4 If the index for the tape you are search-
ing for does not appear and multiple
index list pages are recorded, touch [H]
or [J] to switch the page.
6 Touch [RETURN] until the menu screen
turns off.
