Dialogue Recording
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA
When you want to record from a distance at a
lecture, workshop, or other such occasion, the
speaker’s voice may blend in with ambient
sounds. You can use the Dialogue Recording
function to pick up the speaker’s voice more
distinctly.
1 In TAPE-CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA
mode, display the menu screen (see
page 31).
2 Touch [K] or [L] to select “E”, and then
touch [SET]. Touch [K] or [L] to select
“DIALOG REC”, and then touch [SET].
3 Touch [K] or [L] to select “ON”, and
then touch [SET].
Windbreak
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA
The windbreak function allows you to reduce
annoying noise from strong winds when
recording.
Windbreak mode options
NORMAL: When a certain amount of wind
starts to blow during recording, the wind
noise is reduced automatically.
STRONG: Wind noise is largely eliminated.
Select this setting when the wind is strong
and the noise is irritating.
OFF: The windbreak function is turned off.
Select this setting when you want to record
sounds without the changes in wind intensity
changing their tonal quality.
4 Touch [RETURN] until the menu screen
turns off.

1 In TAPE-CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA
mode, display the menu screen (see
page 31).
2 Touch [K] or [L] to select “E”, and then
touch [SET]. Touch [K] or [L] to select
“WIND”, and then touch [SET].
Note:
• The audio recorded in NORMAL or STRONG
Windbreak mode may sound somewhat altered
when played back.

3 Touch [K] or [L] to select the desired
Windbreak mode, and then touch [SET].

To cancel Dialogue Recording
Select “OFF” and then touch [SET] in step 3
above.
4 Touch [RETURN] until the menu screen
turns off.
