1 Set the camcorder to TAPE-CAMERA,
DUAL-CAMERA, or CARD-CAMERA
mode.
2 In Recording Standby mode, set the
Manual Selection switch to MANUAL to
display the MANUAL screen.

MANUAL LOCK to lock the selected

displayed on the camera recording
screen.

• The selected scene setting is displayed
in yellow.

procedure on the next page.

Scene Menu (Programme AE)
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA, CARD-CAMERA
You can set the camcorder to the shooting
mode that will create the best results for a
specific situation by just selecting one of the
scene settings shown below.
Effect
You can manually adjust the
shutter speed. The camcorder
will automatically choose the
optimal exposure level (F-
number) according to the
selected shutter speed.

You can record a fast-moving
subject with little blurriness.
(The shutter speed is set to
1/500 sec.) This is effective for
recording tennis swings, track
and field events, and so on.

darkening the subject even if
the background is particularly
bright. This is effective for
recording at ski areas or when
swimming in the ocean.
You can record a picture with
the brightness adjusted for a
subject with a large contrast to
minimize white flaring. This is
effective for recording subjects
illuminated by a spotlight.
You can accurately record the
red of the setting sun and the
surrounding twilight.
