5 Touch [K] or [L] to select the desired
shutter speed.
The number shown is the selected
shutter speed.
In TAPE-CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA
mode, the adjustment range is 17 steps
from 1/25 sec. (“25”) (slowest shutter
speed) to 1/10,000 sec. (“10000”)
(fastest shutter speed).
In CARD-CAMERA mode, the adjust-
ment range is 9 steps from 1/25 sec.
(“25”) (slowest shutter speed) to 1/500
sec. (“500”) (fastest shutter speed).
6 Set the Manual Selection switch to
MANUAL LOCK to lock the selected
shutter speed.

Touch [AUTO] in step 4 above.
Notes:
Recording with a shutter speed faster than 1/50
sec. tends to darken the picture. It is best to
record in a brightly-lit location in sunlight or with
video lights or other auxiliary illumination.
Using a fast shutter speed under fluorescent
lighting will cause flickering in the picture and
possibly periodic colour shifts.
In order to check the manual setting state after
performing step 6, reset the Manual Selection
switch to MANUAL.
The camcorder will return to Auto Shutter
Speed mode if a scene setting is selected and
then cancelled afterward.
The manual shutter speed setting cannot be
used with Night Recording.
