4 Touch [K] or [L] to select “MULTI
FRAME”, and then touch [SET]. Touch
[K] or [L] to select “9” (9-frame picture)
or “16” (16-frame picture), and then
touch [SET].
Multiple Strobe Recording
Available mode: TAPE-CAMERA
The multiple strobe recording function allows
you to record a fast-moving subject at intervals
of 1/8 of a second using a 9- or 16-frame
picture. This is useful when you want to check
your form in sports such as tennis or golf.
PHOTO SHOT: A multi-frame picture is
recorded for 6 seconds.
STILL: A multi-frame picture is continu-
ously recorded until the REC START/
STOP button is pressed again.
Note: The sound and visual effects of a
camera shutter closing will not be available
when performing Multiple Strobe Recording
with PHOTO SHOT selected.
Setting Multiple Strobe Recording
Mode
1 In TAPE-CAMERA mode, display the
menu screen (see page 31).
2 Touch [K] or [L] to select “W”, and
then touch [SET]. Touch [K] or [L] to
select “PHOTO SNAP”, and then touch
[SET].
5 Touch [RETURN] until the menu screen
turns off.
Using Multiple Strobe Recording
1 Set the camcorder to TAPE-CAMERA
mode.
2 In Recording Standby mode, press the
STILL button.
• A multi-frame picture of the subject is
displayed.
3 Press the REC START/STOP button.
• The multi-frame picture is recorded.
In PHOTO SHOT mode, the camcorder
returns to Recording Standby mode after
recording a multi-frame picture for
6 seconds.
To pause recording
Press the REC START/STOP button.
To cancel the multi-frame picture
In PHOTO SHOT mode, press the STILL
button while the camcorder is in Recording
Standby mode.
In STILL mode, press the STILL button.
Notes:
• Multiple Strobe Recording can also be used
during recording by pressing the STILL button.
• The picture quality in Multiple Strobe Recording
mode will be slightly lower than normal pictures.
• Multiple Strobe Recording cannot be used
with digital picture effects or the wide screen
function.
3 Touch [K] or [L] to select “PHOTO
SHOT” or “STILL”, and then touch
[SET].
