Edit Search
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA
The edit search function lets you search,
without switching to TAPE-VCR mode, for the
point on the tape where you wish to start
recording next.
1 In TAPE-CAMERA or DUAL-CAMERA
mode, display the [2/2] screen (see
page 30).
2 In Recording Standby mode, touch
[SRCH] to display the SEARCH screen.
4 When you find the point where you want
to begin recording, release your finger
from the LCD screen.
• Playback stops, and then the camcorder
enters Recording Standby mode. The
tape will record from this point the next
time you shoot.

3 Touch and hold [x] (Forward Edit
Search) or [z] (Reverse Edit Search).
• In Forward Edit Search, the tape is
played back at normal speed. In
Reverse Edit Search, the tape is played
back at approximately six times normal
speed.

5 Touch [RTRN] to turn off the SEARCH
screen.
Notes:
• The sound is off during search.
• Some picture noise appears during Reverse Edit
Search.
