Gamma Brightness Compen-
sation
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA, CARD-CAMERA
When the subject is backlit or when recording
in a dark or poorly illuminated location, the
image will appear dark if it is recorded
normally. The gamma brightness compensation
function improves the picture by increasing the
brightness of the image.
To obtain a brighter picture, touch
[GAMMA EFF.] again.
• The
indicator appears.
2 Touch [GAMMA EFF.].
• “GAMMA” appears, and the picture
becomes brighter.
Note:
• When only “GAMMA” is displayed, the subject
becomes brighter while leaving the brighter
portions of the image unaffected. When the
indicator is displayed, the brighter portions of
the image may get whited out.
Recording in a poorly illuminated
location
At locations where lighting is insufficient,
“LIGHT” is displayed on the screen.
After performing step 1 of “Recording a backlit
subject”, touch [GAMMA EFF.].
• “GAMMA” appears, and the picture becomes
brighter.
