Setting the Area, Date and
Time
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA, CARD-CAMERA
Example: Setting the date to 2 June 2002 (2.
6.2002) and the time to 10:30 am (10:30) in
Hong Kong.
Notes:
• Before performing the procedure below, make
sure that the lithium battery has been installed
(see page 16).
• If you are in an area that observes summer time,
set the time to the standard time. You can then
correct it for summer time by performing the
procedure on page 105.
6 Touch [MENU] to display the menu
screen, and then touch [SET].

1 Press the LCD monitor OPEN release in
the direction of the arrow (1) and open
the LCD monitor (2).
3 Hold down the Lock
button and set the
POWER switch to
CAMERA.
• The LCD screen turns
on.
7 Touch [K] or [L] until “9 HNGKNG”
appears for the AREA menu item, and
then touch [SET].
Note: See “Time Zone Chart” and “Area
Table” on pages 103 and 104 for the area
number and name of the representative city
for your time zone.
2 Set the Media Selection
switch to TAPE.
4 Touch any point on the LCD screen to
display the [1/2] screen.
5 Touch [1/2] to display the [2/2] screen.
Note: If the date and time have been set, the
MANUAL SET menu first appears. Touch [K]
or [L] to select “Y”, and then touch [SET] to
set the CLOCK SET menu.
