Selecting Summer Time
Available modes: TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-
CAMERA, CARD-CAMERA
Perform the procedure below to advance the
clock of the camcorder one hour to summer
time.
1 In TAPE-CAMERA, DUAL-CAMERA, or
CARD-CAMERA mode, display the
menu screen (see page 31).

Summer time indicator
Setting the Confirmation
Sound
Available modes: all modes
A confirmation sound is made when you turn
on or off the POWER switch, select a function
or setting by touching the LCD screen, or
perform other designated operations. Use the
procedure below to change the type of sound
or to turn off the confirmation sounds alto-
gether.
Confirmation sound setting options
CHIME: A chiming sound is made.
BEEP: An electronic beeping sound is made.
OFF: No confirmation sound including a
warning sound is made.
1 Display the menu screen (see page 31).
2 Touch [K] or [L] to select “R”, and
then touch [SET]. Touch [K] or [L] to
select “SOUND”, and then touch [SET].

4 Touch [RETURN] until the menu screen
turns off.
Note:
• If “OFF” is selected, the sound effect of a
camera shutter closing in PHOTO SHOT, CARD-
CAMERA, and DUAL-CAMERA modes will also
be turned off.
3 Touch [K] or [L] to select “CHIME”,
“BEEP”, or “OFF”, and then touch [SET].
3 Touch [K] or [L] to select “ON”, and
then touch [SET].
• The time automatically changes to
summer time.
4 Touch [RETURN] until the menu screen
turns off.
• The
indicator appears when the
date/time is displayed.
To reset to standard time
Select “OFF” and then touch [SET] in step 3
above.
