Delete-protection
Available mode: CARD-VCR
It is possible to prevent your important images
recorded on the card from being accidentally
erased by using the delete-protection function.
1 Set the camcorder to CARD-VCR mode.
To cancel the protection setting
1 Perform steps 1 to 3 above.
Note:
• Formatting a card deletes all images on it,
including the ones with the delete-protection
setting.
3 If the image for which you want to set
the protection does not appear, touch
[H] or [J] to scroll through the thumb-
nail images.
4 Touch the desired image to select, and
then touch the image again to set the
protection.
• To set the protection for the image
enclosed by the selection frame, you
only need to touch the image once.
• The
indicator appears.
Delete-protection indicator
• If you want to protect another image,
repeat steps 3 and 4.
2 Touch the desired image to select, and
then touch the image again to cancel the
protection setting.
• To cancel the protection for the image
enclosed by the selection frame, you
only need to touch the image once.
• The
indicator disappears.
5 Touch [RETURN] to turn off the
PROTECT screen.
2 Touch [PROTECT] on the thumbnail
screen to display the PROTECT screen.
• If a full-screen picture of a still image is
displayed, display the [2/2] screen (see
page 30), and then touch [PROTECT].
