Preparation
Using the Hand Strap and the
Lens Cap

Open the hand strap flap ((2) and grip
strap (Z), and pass the grip strap
through the loop at the end of the lens
cap cord (3).

Hold the VIEWCAM against your chest.
Then put your thumb close to the Power
Zoom lever, pull the grip strap tight until
it fits snugly, seal the velcro closures
(g), and close the hand strap flap ( z ).
Caution:
l Do not swing the VIEWCAM by its hand strap.
Attaching and Removing the Lens Cap
When attaching or removing the lens cap, press
both tabs on the sides of the cap.

Notes:
l Always replace the
lens cap on the lens
when the VIEWCAM is
not in use.
l Attach the lens cap to
the hand strap so it will
not get in the way
during recording.

Attaching the Shoulder Strap
1 Hold one end of the strap and thread it
through the loop on the left side of the
monitor.

Loosen the strap in the buckle, then feed
it through the end of the strap, as
shown.

Draw the strap in the direction of the
arrow.
4-6 Use the same procedure to attach the
other end of the strap to the ring on the
lens side.
Monitor side
Handling the LCD Monitor
l Do not let anything press against the monitor
screen, and do not expose it to shock, as it
may break.
l Do not put the VIEWCAM on a table, or any
other surface, with the monitor screen facing
down.
l Use a soft cloth to clean the monitor screen.
