Tape Counter Feature
Camera mode
The tape counter shows elapsed playback or 1
recording time in hours, minutes and seconds.
(The counter continues to count internally even
while it is not being displayed.) This feature can 2
be set and used in both VCR and Camera
modes.

Using the Counter
VCRmode
Press the MENU button until

Press the COUNTER button (_) to
display the tape counter.

Press the MENU button until
appears, then begin playback.
• You can check the playback time with
the tape counter.

Press the MENU button until _!
appears.
Press the COUNTER button (l,,_) to
display the tape counter.
Press the REC START/STOP button to
begin recording.
• You can check the recording time with
the tape counter.
Notes:
• The counter reading may differ slightly from the
actual time. This is especially noticeable when
the tape has been rewound or fast forwarded a
number of times, in which case there can be a
difference of several seconds.
• The tape counter feature will be canceled if the
power source is interrupted.
To turn off the tape counter
Perform step 1 above, and press tile
COUNTER button.
To reset the counter to zero
During playback (or recording), perform steps
1 and 2 above, then press the RESET button at
the point where you wish to reset the counter to
zero. The counter will indicate 0:00.00.
