Multiple Strobe Playback
The multiple strobe playback function can be
used to capture the action of a fast-moving
subject at intervals of 1/10 of a second using a
9- or 16-frame picture. This is useful when you
want to check your form in sports such as
tennis or golf.
Selecting Multiple Strobe Playback
Mode
1 In VCR mode, display the menu screen
(see page 25).
2 Toggle the CONTROL switch (Q) to
select “MULTI FRAME”, then press the
CONTROL switch (W) to select “9”
(9-frame picture) or “16” (16-frame
picture).
3 Press the EXIT button (MODE
DISPLAY) to turn off the menu screen.

Using Multiple Strobe Playback
During playback, press the SNAP button at the
point where you want to begin the multiple
strobe playback.
• A multi-frame picture of the image is displayed.
To cancel the Multiple Strobe Playback, press
the SNAP button again.
Note:
• The Multiple Strobe Playback cannot be used
during still or slow playback, or together with
the Playback Zoom or Picture Effect Playback.
Gamma Playback
The gamma playback function improves the
picture by increasing the brightness of the
subject while leaving the brighter portions of
the image unaffected.
1 During playback, press the CONTROL
switch until
appears.
2 Press the GAMA PB button (C).
• “GAMMA” appears and the picture
becomes brighter.
