Operation buttons
The Operation buttons are used to select
recording and playback functions on the
screens. Press the Operation button
corresponding to the indicator of the desired
function displayed on the screen.
Note:
• The Operation button indicators are normally
displayed in blue. When a function is selected,
its indicator is displayed in yellow. When a
function cannot be used, its indicator is
displayed in gray.
The Operation buttons can also be used to
adjust the settings on the language selection,
menu, manual setting and picture/backlight
adjustment screens. The procedures for
adjusting these settings in the following sec-
tions of this operation manual are based upon
the use of the CONTROL switch. To adjust
these settings with the Operation buttons,
follow the rules below.
• Press the D or C button (C or ) when
indicated to toggle the CONTROL switch.

About the MODE DISPLAY button
Press the MODE DISPLAY button
to turn the on-screen indicators on
or off.
Notes:
• The warning indicators and some other indicators
cannot be turned off by pressing the MODE
DISPLAY button.
• The MODE DISPLAY button functions as the EXIT
button on the menu, manual setting and picture/
backlight adjustment screens (“EXIT” is displayed
above the MODE DISPLAY button). When the
EXIT button is pressed, the screen returns to the
mode screen.
