Handset Settings

Disabling an app
Terminate operations of an app and set it not to be displayed on the
app list screen without uninstalling it.
You can disable apps which cannot be uninstalled.

App permissions: For details nP. 30 “Setting functions to
use”
App links: Make settings for the link from other apps etc.
Default Apps: Make settings for the default app to use when
using call, SMS, etc.
Draw over other apps: Set whether to permit an app to
superimpose on the other apps while using.
Modify system settings: Set whether to permit an app to
modify the handset settings.
Battery optimization: For details nP. 30 “Setting Battery
optimization”
You can check the used capacity/total capacity of the handset
memory, microSD Card or USB memory, display the data
saved on it, etc.

In the home screen, [R]/[Settings]/[Storage
& USB]
: The used capacity/total capacity of the handset memory,
microSD Card or USB memory are displayed.
If the microSD Card or USB memory is not inserted, the
details screen of the used capacity on the handset memory
is displayed.

Select a storage
: Select [Internal storage] to display the details screen of the
used capacity on the handset memory. Select [Explore] in
the details screen to display the data list saved on the
handset memory.
: Select the microSD Card or USB memory to display the data
list saved on it.
: To unmount the microSD Card or USB memory: [5] of the
microSD Card/USB memory
: To mount the microSD Card or USB memory: Select the
microSD Card/USB memory/[MOUNT]
You can format the microSD Card or USB memory.

If you encrypt the microSD Card, data on the microSD Card is
not available in the devices other than the handset used for
encrypting it.
You need to decrypt the microSD Card to use it as usual.
Carry out the operations while charging the battery with its
battery level still left sufficiently.
Set Screen lock to [Lock No.] or [Password] in advance.

You can check the memory (RAM) usage.

: To display the memory usage of apps: [Memory used by
apps]
If you disable an app, other apps which link up with the disabled
app may not work properly. In this case, enable the app.

Storage & USB
Unmount the microSD Card or USB memory before removing it.
Formatting microSD Card/USB memory
Note that all the data on the microSD Card or USB memory will
be deleted when formatted.
Encrypting/Decrypting microSD Card
When the available space on the microSD Card is insufficient,
encryption/decryption is not available.
Note that when you have carried out Reset all with the microSD
Card encrypted, you cannot use the data on the microSD Card.
Decrypt it before carrying out Reset all.
If you insert a microSD Card into the handset that has been
used for encrypting another microSD Card, the handset can
only read data on it.
The handset can write data into the read-only microSD Card
after encrypting the microSD Card.
Encrypting/Decrypting a microSD Card may take time. Do not
stop charging the battery or do not remove the microSD Card
while it is being encrypted. Data on it may be lost if the
encryption is interrupted.
