You can prevent others from seeing the display.

In the home screen, [R]/[Settings]/
[Wallpaper & display]/[VeilView]

Select an item
VeilView: Set whether to enable VeilView.
Switching by motion: Set whether to make VeilView able to
be enabled/disabled by putting your hand over the upper part
of the display side for approximately 2 seconds.
Pattern setting: Set the display pattern.
Density setting: Make an adjustment for the effect (shading)
to prevent others from seeing the display.
You can make settings for Twist magic, ScrollAuto, Clip Now,
Grip magic, On/off with motion or View with flip cover, or
perform Self check.

ScrollAuto: For details nP. 68 “ScrollAuto”
Clip Now: For details nP. 68 “Clip Now”
Grip magic: For details nP. 19 “Grip Magic”
On/off with motion: For details nP. 69 “On/off with motion”
View with flip cover: Set whether to display the screen for the
small window when the handset is equipped with a flip cover
which is equipped with a small window.
Self check: For details nP. 69 “Self check”
You can scroll the screen being displayed automatically.

[Useful]/[ScrollAuto]

Select an item
Turn ON/OFF ScrollAuto: Set whether to use ScrollAuto.
Set Apps: Set apps to apply activation of ScrollAuto.
Notify in status bar: Set whether to notify by notification icon
when the applicable app is running.
Let's Try!: Check how to use ScrollAuto by using “Let's Try!”.
■ Scrolling the screen automatically

Drag the screen in the direction to scroll/put
your finger on the displayed arrow and put it off
: Put your finger off to start scrolling.
: Operate it for approximately 5 minutes to stop scrolling.
: To adjust the scroll speed: [+]/[-]
: To stop scrolling: Touch the screen
You can shoot the screen being displayed as an image
(archival screenshot) by tracing the edge of the screen with
your finger. You can save the URL with the archival
screenshot when shooting a Chrome screen.
Also, you can use a screenshot for a temporary memo which
can be saved temporarily.

Clip Now: Set whether to use Clip Now.
Help: Display the explanation of Clip Now.
Slide operation settings: Set operations when tracing the
screen.
Display share options: Set whether to display share options
when you shoot a temporary memo.
Delete All: Delete all archival screenshots you have shot.
■ Shooting archival screenshots

Display the screen to save/trace the edge of
the screen to the right from upper left of the
screen or left from upper right of the screen
: The URL is also saved when shooting a Chrome screen. In
the home screen, [R]/[Clip Now] to check the saved URL.
■ Shooting screenshots for a temporary memo

Display the screen to save temporarily/trace
the edge of the screen down from upper left or
upper right of the screen
: To check a temporary memo: Drag part of a temporary
memo displayed on the left edge or right edge of the screen
to the center of the screen
: To delete a temporary memo: Drag a temporary memo to [w]
VeilView
[VeilView]
[VeilView] is disabled if the power is turned off.
[Switching by motion]
Note that this function may be operated in the following cases.
When the upper part of the display side is covered while you
are carrying the handset in a bag, pocket, etc.
When you put the handset with the display side turned down
When you place an object on the upper part of the display
side
This function may not be operated on horizontal display, during
a call, etc.
If you enable [Switching by motion] while [Turn off by putting in
pocket] of On/off with motion is enabled, [Turn off by putting in
pocket] is disabled.
[Pattern setting]
The effect of preventing others from seeing may differ
depending on the selected patterns.
Useful
[View with flip cover]
When Screen lock is set to an item other than [None], display
the screen for the small window.
Set [glove mode] to OFF when using the screen for the small
window (nP. 67 “Wallpaper & display”).
If you set [View with flip cover] to ON, [Grip magic] is set to Off.
ScrollAuto
ScrollAuto supports only upward/downward.
If your drag speed is too fast, the arrow is not displayed.
Depending on the position of the screen, even if you release
your finger, the screen may not be scrolled automatically.
While the screen is scrolled automatically, [p] is displayed on
the left edge of the screen and indicate the movement of the
scroll.
Clip Now
Data may not be saved completely or partially depending on the
app.
