Mode settings
You can set to avoid disturbing others when in public.

In the home screen, [R]/[Settings]/[Sound/
notification]/[Mode settings]
: Alternatively, H (for at least 1 second)/[c]/[d]/[e] to
enable/disable the manner mode.

Select the type of the manner mode
 Standard manner mode: The ringtone and operation sound
are silenced, and the vibrator is activated when receiving a
call or others. When Answering memo setting is set to
[Mannermode], the answering memo is enabled and operated
according to its setting.
 Silent manner mode: The ringtone and operation sound are
silenced, and even the vibrator is not activated when
receiving a call or others. When Answering memo setting is
set to [Mannermode], the answering memo is enabled and
operated according to its setting.
 OFF: Disable the manner mode.
You can set when to make the incoming/charging lamp flash.
You can set a flashing pattern or an illumination color for when
receiving a call.

Select an item
 For incoming call: Set whether to make the illumination flash
when receiving a call.
 Illumi pattern/color for incoming call: Make settings for a
flashing pattern or a flashing color for when receiving a call.
 Notification: Set whether to make the illumination flash when
receiving a notification.
 When start charging: Set whether to make the illumination
flash when charging starts.
 When unlocking: Set whether to make the illumination flash
when unlocking the touch panel.
Make settings for the screen display etc.

Select an item
 Wallpaper: Set an image for the home screen.
 Welcome Sheet: Make settings for the screen displayed when
the touch panel is locked.
 EDGEST Effect: Make settings for the effect on edges of the
screen shown when the display is turned on, during an
incoming call, etc.
 Brightness level: For details nP.65 "Brightness level"
 Screen timeout: Set the light duration of the backlight.
 Quality mode: Make settings for the picture quality.
 glove mode: Set whether to make it possible to operate by
touching the screen while wearing a glove.
 When device is rotated: Set whether to switch the screen to
horizontal/vertical display when rotating the handset 90° to
the left/right.
 Font Settings: Make settings for the text size or text font.
 VeilView: For details nP.66 "VeilView"
 Daydream: Set whether to use the screen saver.
 Display left percents of Battery: Set whether to display the
percentage of the remaining battery level on the status bar.
Brightness level

In the home screen, [R]/[Settings]/
[Display]/[Brightness level]

Select an item
 Automatic brightness: Set whether to automatically adjust
brightness of the backlight. When not automatically adjusting,
set the brightness manually.
 Brighten while charging: Set whether to brighten the display
while charging.

[When device is locked]
The following items can be set.
 Show all notification content: Set to display the notifications in
the lock screen.
 Hide sensitive notification content: Set not to display details
such as the other party's phone number or the number of
notifications in the lock screen.
･ You can use this item when Screen lock is set to an item
other than [None] or [Swipe or Touch].
 Don't show notification at all: Set not to display the
notifications in the lock screen.
The following sounds are not silenced even when the manner
mode is set.
 Shutter sound of shooting still pictures
 Focus locking sound of shooting still pictures
 Record start/end sound of shooting videos
 Media playback sound (music, video, 1Seg, etc.)
The manner mode is disabled if you turn the ringtone volume up
while the manner mode is set. The manner mode is set if you set
the ringtone volume to "0" when the manner mode is not set.
Illumination
Display
[Welcome Sheet]
You can set it only when [Feel Home] is selected in Batch
change lock screen/ home application.
[Screen timeout]
Note that the continuous stand-by time is shortened when
increasing the light duration.
[glove mode]
Touching operation may not be available depending on
materials for the glove.
Sweep ON (nP.68 "On/off with motion") is not available while
wearing a glove although [glove mode] is set to ON.
Set [glove mode] to OFF when you are not wearing a glove.
[When device is rotated]
This function may not follow the setting depending on the app in
use.
[Font Settings]
Font may not appear correctly when activating an app
downloaded from Google Play etc.
[Automatic brightness]
Note that the continuous stand-by time is shortened when
increasing the brightness of the display.
