Automatically receive an Area Mail

When the Area Mail is received, the special
buzzer or special ringtone sounds and its
message is displayed
■ Checking received Area Mail later

Drag the status bar down/select the received
Area Mail
: Alternatively, in the home screen, [R]/[Disaster kit]/[Early
Warning “Area Mail”] to check received Area Mail.

 Receive setting: Set whether to receive Area Mail.
 Beep tone: Make settings for the ring duration and operations
in the manner mode.
 Check screen image and beep tone: Confirm the reception
screen and the ringtone for earthquake early warning,
tsunami warning, and disaster and evacuation information.
 やさしい日本語表示 (Display with simple Japanese): Set
whether to display earthquake early warning and tsunami
warning with simple Japanese.
You can display websites via packet communication or Wi-Fi
function.

: Keywords that include the entered characters are displayed
as a list.
: Alternatively, enter the entire keyword and [Go] to search
websites.

You can display websites without your browsing history and search
history being recorded.

: When you display websites on an incognito tab, the
surrounding area of the URL entry field is displayed in gray.

You can receive Area Mail without subscription to sp-mode.
You cannot receive the Area Mail (earthquake early warning)
that failed to be received again.
It is possible to receive the Area Mail (tsunami warning, and
disaster and evacuation information) that failed to be received
again because it is resent.
You can save up to 50 Area Mails.
If the number of Area Mails saved on the handset memory
exceeds the maximum number to be saved, they are deleted
from the oldest one.

Setting Early Warning “Area Mail”
Settings of the earthquake early warning buzzer, ringtone
dedicated to tsunami warning, and disaster and evacuation
information, ringtone volume and vibrator cannot be changed.
Chrome
Displaying websites
Some websites may not appear properly.
Chrome is displayed by tab in [History] of Quick Launcher. You
can switch or delete tabs in [History] of Quick Launcher
(nP. 27 “History”).
Incognito tabs of Chrome are displayed in [History] of Quick
Launcher as with usual tabs. You can switch or delete tabs in
[History] of Quick Launcher (nP. 27 “History”).
The websites opened on incognito tabs are not recorded in
history of Chrome (nP. 46 “Displaying websites from
history”). Also, if you delete all incognito tabs from Quick
Launcher, information such as Cookie is deleted. Downloaded
files and bookmarked websites from incognito tabs can be
saved, too.
