Enhancing Your Stereo System
Listening to the playback sounds from the
connected equipment
Recording on a MiniDisc (Normal record-
ing)
Recording on a MiniDisc (Sound synchro-
nised recording)
Headphones
Before plugging in or unplugging the headphones, reduce the volume.
Be sure your headphones have a 3.5 mm (1/8") diameter plug and are between 16
ohms and 50 ohms impedance. The recommended impedance is 32 ohms.
Plugging in the headphones disconnects the speakers automatically. Adjust the volume
using the VOLUME buttons.

Press the AUX (DEMO) button to select "AUX ANALOG" or "AUX
DIGITAL".

In "AUX DIGITAL" input, "NO SIGNAL" may be displayed depending on the connected
equipment.

Play the connected equipment.

Adjust the volume using the VOLUME buttons.

Press the AUX (DEMO) button to select "AUX ANALOG" or "AUX
DIGITAL".

Load a recordable MiniDisc into the MD compartment, label side up.

Press the REC button.

Play the connected equipment.

Press the REC LEVEL/CURSOR or button to adjust the recording
level.
Level meter Recording level
Maximum level should not exceed "0dB".
The recording level can be adjusted in 2dB intervals between - 4dB and +10dB.
If the recording level is too low, the sound volume will be decreased. If it is too high,
the sound will be distorted.

Press the MD button.

Press the AUX (DEMO) button.

Load a recordable MiniDisc into the MD compartment, label side
up.

Press the S-SYNC REC button on the remote control.

Play the connected equipment.
Recording will start automatically.
The recording level is the level adjusted in the previous recording. (This level can
also be adjusted whilst recording.)
