TheSystemCalibrationscreenwalkstheuserthroughthepowercalibrationprocedure.Tostartcalibration,theuser
selectsacalibrationtypeandpressesStartCaltobegin.

The Transmitter must be ON prior to beginning any calibration.

mal).
Duetothedela
yedupdaterateofthewebbrowser,theusershouldnotrelyontheRFDACValuedisplayedonthe
GUItodetermineifpowerisbeing raisedrealtime,asthiscancauseundesiredovershoots.Instea dtheuseris
advisedtomonitortheexternalpowermeteratalltime
swhileadjustingtheoutputpower.
TheAD
CvaluedisplayedrepresentstheADCdetectorreadingcorrespondingtothecalibrationtypeselected.(if
calibrationtype=FactoryForward,theADCvaluewi lldisplaythesystemforwardpowerdetector.)
Oncethecorrectpowerisdisplayedontheexternalpowermeter,theSavebuttonwillproceedtoeitherthenext
calibrationpoint,orwillcompletethecalibrationprocess.Tocancelthecalibrationprocesswithoutsavinganydata,
selectCancel.

Forward
Forwardcalibratesthesystemforwardpowermeter.Thisisatwopointcalibrationprocessthatsavescalibration
pointsatalowcalibrationpoint(approximately10dBdownfromthetransmittermodelpower)andahigh
calibrationpoint(1dBabovetransmittermodelpower).Forwardcalibrationisrequiredifthetransmitterisse
tto
operateanewfrequency.
Reflected
Thereflectedcalibrationwillcalibratethesystemreflectedpowermeter.Thereflectedcalibrationshouldbe
performedatthesamefrequencyasthefactoryforwardcalibration.Thisisatwopointcalibrationprocessthat
save scalibrationpointsatalowcalibrationpoint(approximately30dBdownfromtheTransmitterModelPower)
andahighcalibrationpoint(approximately10dBdownfromtheTransmitterModelPower).Theuserwillbe
promptedraiseforwardpowertoneartheTransmitterModelPower,andtousea20dBpadwhensavingthelow
point.Thepadisremovedtosavethehighpoi
nt.Forwardcalibra tionisrequiredifthetransmitterissetto
operateanewfrequency.
UDCOut
UDCOutcalibratetheUDC outputpowermeter.TheUDCoutputcalibrationisrequiredforeach
frequencychange.Thisisatwopointcalibrationprocessthatsavescalibrationpointsatalow
calibrationpoint(4dBmor2.5mW)andahighcalibrati onpoint(20dBmor100mW).Note:TheUDC
Outputcalibrationwillbeperformedinthefactorypriortoshippi ngthetransmitter.If thecalibration
isdeletedforanyreason,awarningwillpersist statingthattheUDCoutput isnotcalibrated.Ifthe
UDCoutputisnotcalibrated, theUDCoutput powerli mitsettingcannotbeenforced

PAB#Forward
PABforwardcalibratesthePABforwardpowermeter.Thisisatwopointcalibrationprocessthatsavescalibration
pointsatalowcalibrationpointandahighcalibrationpoint.PABcalibrationisnotrequired.Thesystemwill
produceoutputpowerev
enifthePABsarenotcalibrated.IfthePABpowerisnotcalibratedthepowerwillbe
displayedasalineonthescreen.

PABreflectedcalibratesthePABforwardpowermeter.Thisisatwopointcalibrationprocessthatsavescalibration
pointsatalowcalibrationpointandahighc
alibrationpoint.PABcalibrationisnotrequired.Thesystemwill
produceoutputpowerevenifthePABsarenotcalibrated.IfthePABpowerisnotcalibratedthepowerwillbe
displayedasalineonthescreen.
