3.1 Introduction

ThissectiongivesdetailedoperationalinformationfortheMaxivaUAXSeriesSolid‐StateUHFTVtransmitter.

Informationpertainstotheoperationandnavigationofthefrontpanelcontrols,thewebinterface,andtheTCU

(TransmitterControlUnit)touchscreendisplayintransmitterswithdualdriveLPUstages.

3.2 OperatingtheLPU

TheLPUdoesnothaveanACmainsON/OFFswitch.Mainspowerisappliedtotheunitbyplugginganenergized

powercordintotheACconnector(upperIECC15)onthebackoftheLPU.TheLPUwilloperateoveravoltagerange

of100‐240VAC,50‐60Hz,autora

nging.

3.2.1 BasicOperatingProcedure

TheLPUcanbeoperatedfromtheLCDandcontrolpanelonthefrontoftheLPUorbyusingthewebbrowserwhich

isaccessedviacomputer.TheLCDandcontrolbuttonsonthefrontoftheunitcanbeusedtocontrolandmonitor

mostLPUoperations.However,inor

dertocontrolthemodulationsettingsacomputermustbeconnectedtothe

LPUsfrontorrearRJ45Ethernetconnector.Thecomputercanbeconnecteddirectlyorviaanetwork.Thisis

3.2.2 LPUWebBrowser‐Connection &Passwords

ThewebbrowserinterfacecanbeusedeitherremotelyiftheLPUisconnectedtoanetwork,orlocallyby

connectingtotheRJ45EthernetportonthetopofthecabinetortotheRJ45portontherearoftheLPU.Simply

entertheIPaddressoftheLPUin

tothewebbrowser.TheIPaddresscanbefoundeitheratthebottomoftheLCD

PowerscreenorbynavigatingtotheSetup>RemoteCommsscreenontheLCD.

THE LPU FRONT ETHERNET PORT ACTS AS A DHCP SERVER AND

ASSIGNS AN IP ADDRESS TO A CONNECTED COMPUTER. THE FRONT

ETHERNET PORT SHOULD NEVER BE CONNECTED TO A NETWORK PORT,

AS IT WILL ATTEMPT TO ASSIGN NEW IP ADDRESSES TO OTHER

COMPUTERS CONNECTED TO THE NETWORK.
