6.4 MaxivaThreeStrikeFaultActions
6.4.1 ModuleFaults
Shouldamodulefailureoccur(sayapowerglitch)theLPUwillinitiateathreestrikeaction.PAmodulesarenot
resetindividually,thuswhenarestrikeiscommandedformtheLPUallPAmoduleswillreceivetherestrikein
attempttoclearthedetectedfailure.
Themodulethr
eestrikepolicyis:
TheLPUwilltrytorestartthemodulethreetimeswithina15secondwindow.Afterthat,ifafaultisstillpres
ent,theLPUwi
llflagthatmoduleasfailedandwillnotattemptanotherautomaticrestrike.
Thereisa1seconddelaybetweenrestartattempts.
Thefaultstrikerestartprocessisthesameasthesystemrestartcommand,allofthemodulefaultswillbe
reset.
Duringthe15secondthreestrikewindow,anyofthenuisancefaultswillbereportedtotheLPU.
IssuingamanualsystemONcommandwhilethesystemisintheONstatewillsendamanualrestartcom
mandtoal
lmodules,andalsowillresettheLPUthreestrikelogic.Anypreviousmodulesthatwereflaggedas
failedduringthethreestrikeprocesswillbecleared,andwillagainbesubjecttoautomaticrestrikeattempts
