5.9.16.1 LPUCoaxialRelayBypassProcedure
Shouldthecoaxialrelayfail,orifaTCUfailurecausestherelaytobecomeinoperative,itcanbemanuallybypassed
usingthefollowingprocedure.
STEP 1
Turnoffthetransmitter.
STEP 2 DeterminewhichLPUwillbeusedastheMasterLPU.IftheTCUhasfailed
theMasterandSlavesettingsontheLPUsmustbesetmanuallyviatheLPU
controlpanels.SettheLPUthatistobeactivetoMastermodebypressing
theSetupbuttonontheLPUfr
ontpanels,thenpresstheenterbuttonto
opentheSystemSettingsmenu,presstheupbuttononetimetodisplaythe
DriverModesetting.Ifthemodeisincorrectpresstheenterbutton,then
usetheupordownkeytoselectthedesiredvalue(masterorslave).Press
entertoselectth
edesiredvalue.
STEP 3 RepeatSTEP2andsettheLPUthatwi llnotbeactivetoSlavemode.
STEP 4 ToconnectLPUAtothePABorsplitterdisconnectRFcableslabeled97and
90fromtherelayanduseatypeNfemalebarreltoconnectthemtogether.
Disconnectcables89and96anduseatypeNbarreltoconnectthem
together.ThissendsLPUBoutputtoalo
