5.9.9 AlternateSoftwareUpdateProcedures
InterruptionsintheISPsoftwareupdateprocessmayresultinanunusableGUIinterface.Thefollowingprocedures
canbeusediftheGUIsoftwareinterfacebecomesinoperable.
5.9.9.1 DirectSoftwareUpdate
TheLPUsoftwarefile(.s19extension)mustbestoredonthePCbeforecommencingtheupdateprocedure.Ifthe
ethernetportonthefrontoftheLPUisstillfunctionalthefollowingprocedurecanbeusedtoloadLPUsoftware:
STEP 1
EstablishanEthernetconnectionbetweenPCandfrontLPUport.

STEP 2 OpenawebbrowsersessionusingFirefox(ChromeorIE8alsowork).
STEP 3 Enter192.168.117.88/ISPintotheaddressboxandpressentertodisplaythe
screenshowninFigure5‐32onpage5‐48.

STEP 4
SelecttheBrowsebuttontonavigatetothedesired.s19softwarefile.
STEP 5 PressSubmitandwatchfortheappearanceandmovementofthe
connectingiconintheupperleftcornerofthebrowserscreen.Theaddress
bardisp laywillchangeto192.168.117.88/Sendfile.Thissteptakesabout2‐3
minutes.
STEP 6 UponcompletionoftheSubmitprocessthe[Program]boxwilldisplay(see
Figure5‐33onpage5‐49).
