leftsideofthedisplayunit(behindthefiltermaterial)onthesideofthedisplaycase.SwitchingthepanelPCoffand
backondoesnotdisrupttakethetransmitteroff‐air.

ThissectionisamaintenanceguidetotheLPU(LowPowerUnit).
5.9.1 LPUExciter/ModulatorMaintenance
TheLPUexciter/modulatorsectionislocatedintheupperpartoftheLPU.TheairintakefortheLPUexciter/
modulatorsectionislocatedontheupperleftandrightsidesofthefrontpanel.Theairfilterislocatedbehindthe
LPUfrontpanel(seeFigure5‐27onpag
e5‐43).Toreplacethefilters,ortoaccesstheLPUfrontEthernetconnection,
PSorPAmodulesthefrontpanelfastenersmustbeloosenedandthefrontpanellowered.
Theto
pcovercanberemovedtoprovideaccesstothecircuitboards.
