5.8.4 Installing/ChangingtheTCUPCMBattery
Transmittercontrolunits(TCUs)areshippedascomponentsinseveraldifferentHarristransmittermodels.TheTCU
containsdifferentprintedcircuitcardsdependingonthetransmitterapplication.TCUsthathaveGUI(GraphicalUser
Interfacetouchscreen)displaycontainaPCMcard.ThePCMcardisthesecondcardfromtherightwhenlooki

thefrontoftheTCU.

ThePCMca
rdcontainsabatterythatisusedbytherealtimeclocktomaintainthecorrecttime/datewhentheunit
doesnothaveACmainspowerapplied.TheunitistypicallyshippedwiththebatteryremovedfromthePCMcard.

5.8.4.1 PCM‐2BatteryInstallationInstructions
STEP 1 Turnoffthetransmitterandremovepowerfromthetransmittercabinetor
disconnecttheACplug(s)fromtherearoftheTCU.
Caution
TCU CARDS ARE NOT HOT SWAPPABLE. THE TRANSMITTER SHOULD BE
OFF AND THE POWER DISCONNECTED FROM THE TCU BEFORE REMOVAL
OF CARDS.
STEP 2 UsethefingerholecutoutsbuiltintothesidesoftheTCUfrontpanelas
handles,pulloutwardanddownonthefrontpanel.
