CALIBRATION.Onthewebbrowser,selectUAXHome>Config>CAL.
STEP 11 HighlighttheUDCcalibrationmenuitem.SelectUDC.
STEP 12 RaisepowerandcalibrateatthefirstdBmlevelandthentheseconddBm
levelperinstructionsonthescreen.Setpowerto5dBm(4mW)and
20.79dBm(120mWaverage,200mWpeak)andcalibrateperinstructionson
thescreen.
STEP 13 Uponcompletionofthecalibrationprocedure,thescreenwillpromptyouto
reconnectcables.Select“OK”onLCDscreenorSaveonwebbrowsertoexit
theprocedure.Selectcanceltoterminatethecalibrationprocess.

5.6.5 CalibrateLPUOutput
LPUoutputreferstothelowpowerunittypeNconnectorlocatedontherearoftheLPU.TheLPUoutputis
relativelylinearwithfrequencysorecalibrationoftheLPUoutputistypicallynotrequiredinthefieldunlessthe
systemconfigurationisbeingchangedortheLPUisbeingre
placed.
Equipment and Tools Required:
• Directionalcouplerandaveragepowermeterorotherprecisionpowermeasurement
means.
STEP 1
Connectacalibratedcoupler,suchasaNarda3020,totheLPUoutput(RF
OU TPUT“N”connector)andconnectaloadofatleast100wattstothe
coupler.
STEP 2 OnthefrontscreenselectSETUP>SYSTEMSETTINGS>MODELNO.andthen
usetheupordownarrowstochangethemodelno.toUAX100.
STEP 3 PresstheLPUONbutton.
STEP 4 OnfrontscreenselectSETUP>XMTRPOWERSETTINGS>POWER
CALIBRATION.
STEP 5 UsetheUPcursorkeytoselectLPU.
STEP 6 Connectthepowermetertoaforwardportonthecoupler.
STEP 7 RaisepowerandcalibrateatthefirstdBmlevelandthentheseconddBm
levelperinstructionsonthescreen.
STEP 8 SetthepowertothelowerdBmlevelandthentheupperdBmleveland
calibrateperinstructionsonthescreen.
STEP 9 Oncompletionofthefinalcalibrationprocedurethemenuwillpromptyou
toselect“Continue”toexittheprocedure.
