9, VENTILATION:
Slotsand openingsin thecabinet are providedfor
ventilationto ensure reliableoperationofthe
CAMCORDERand to protectit from overheating.These
openingsmustnot be blockedor covered.Never place
your CAMCORDERon a bed, sofa, rug,or other similar
surface:on or neara radiatoror heat register.
ThisCAMCORDERshould not be placed in a built-in
installationsuch as a bookcaseor rackunless proper
ventilationis providedor themanufacturer'sinstructions
havebeen adhered to.
10. POWERSOURCES:
TheCAMCORDERshould be operatedonly fromthe
typeof powersourceindicatedonthe label.
Ifyou are notsure ofthe type ofpowersupply at your
home,consultyour appliancedealer or local power
company.
A CAMCORDERis intendedto be operated from battery
power,or othersources, referto the operating
instructions.
11. GROUNDINGOR POLARIZATION:
ThisCAMCORDER maybe equippedwith either a
polarized2-wireAC line plug (a plug havingone blade
widerthan the other)or a 3-wiregroundingtype plug,a
plughaving a third (grounding)pin.
Ifyou are unableto insertthe plugfully intotheoutlet,try
reversingthe plug.If the plugstill fails to fit, contact your
electricianto replaceyour outlet. Do not defeatthe safety
purposeof the polarizedplug.

POWER-CORDPROTECTION:
Power-supplycords should berouted so that they are not
likely to be walked on or pinched by items placedupon or
againstthem, paying particularattention to cordsor plugs,
convenientreceptacles, and the pointwherethey exit
fromthe unit.
OUTDOORANTENNAGROUNDING:
If an outside antennaor cable systemis connectedto the
CAMCORDER,be surethe antennaor cable systemis
groundedto providesomeprotectionagainstvoltage
surgesand built-up staticcharges, Section 810 of the
National ElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPANo. 70-1984,
provides informationwith respectto propergroundingof
the mast and supportingstructure,groundingof the
lead-inwireand supportingstructure,groundingof the
mastand supportingstructure,groundingof the lead-in
wire to an antenna dischargeunit,size ofgroundingto
conductors,locationof antenna-dischargeunit,
connectionto groundingelectrodesand requirementsfor
the groundingelectrode.
