Powering off the Cartridge Subsystem

CAUTION:
LOSS OF DATA. Pressing the Unit Emergency switch starts an
uncontrolled power off and might cause a loss of data. USE THE UNIT
EMERGENCY SWITCH ONLY IN AN EMERGENCY.
To power off a cartridge drive in an emergency:
1. Locate the
Unit Emergency switch on the power control panel at the rear of
the cartridge drive.
2. Lift the plastic cover to allow access to the switch.
3. Press the red
Unit Emergency switch, shown in Figure 3-5.
4. Notify Customer Support Services to dispatch a service representative to
restore power to the subsystem as described in Chapter 4, “Obtaining
Support.”
